I benefited from a tremendous public school education here in Anchorage, and I want to see our kids have the same great opportunities that I did. Our economy will depend on having an educated workforce, and we need to prepare our children to enter the workforce. I supported setting aside money now when we enjoy a surplus, so that we can ensure adequate education funding in leaner years. I collaborated with local principals to provide funding for computer labs.
