Alaska’s health care system is in trouble. Health care costs are rising for individuals and businesses, and our seniors are unable to find doctors willing to treat them. Some say these are federal problems and there is nothing the state can do to solve them. I disagree. I believe we all have a moral obligation to see that our fellow Alaskans receive the healthcare they need. That’s why I have been working closely with the medical community for the past year on solutions to these problems.
