Open and Honest Government
The first bill I sponsored in the legislature was to close loopholes in the state’s disclosure laws. People need to be able to trust their elected officials. Government should be transparent, and it should be responsive to the people. When decisions are made behind closed doors, decision makers lose the valuable input of the people their decisions will affect, and they lose the public’s trust.
